Descrição da Exposição:
Esta exposição apresenta, pela primeira vez, o percurso de Jean-Luc Godard como criador de imagens fixas, desde a sua infância até 2022. Serão exibidas diversas obras visuais de Godard, incluindo pinturas, desenhos, cadernos, e imagens digitais, além de fotografias de família tiradas por sua mãe, Odile Monod, muitas das quais nunca foram mostradas antes.

O título da exposição, Tendo em Linha de Conto os Tempos Atuais, é inspirado no plano 15 de “Film annonce du film ‘Drôles de Guerres’ (1er tournage)” (2022), que reflete sobre a liberdade da linguagem e as metamorfoses do cinema. A sobreposição entre “conto” e “ter em conta” aborda a fabulação e a exatidão, explorando como o cinema pode confrontar a realidade.

Exhibition Description:
This exhibition presents, for the first time, the journey of Jean-Luc Godard as a creator of still images, from his childhood to 2022. It will showcase various visual works by Godard, including paintings, drawings, notebooks, and digital images, along with family photographs taken by his mother, Odile Monod, many of which have never been displayed before.

The title of the exhibition, Considering the Current Times, is inspired by plan 15 of “Film annonce du film ‘Drôles de Guerres’ (1er tournage)” (2022), reflecting on the freedom of language and the transformations of cinema. The overlap between “tale” and “taking into account” addresses fabrication and accuracy, exploring how cinema can confront reality.
