A cineasta iraniana Narges Kalhor apresenta a sua obra Shahid, um filme onde a personagem principal tenta remover o nome “Shahid” – que significa “mártir” – do seu sobrenome, em homenagem aos seus bisavós. No entanto, ela é assombrada pela figura do bisavô, enfrenta a impossibilidade da burocracia alemã e lida com uma revolta crescente entre os atores. Uma comédia política única, repleta de humor e crítica.

Iranian filmmaker Narges Kalhor presents Shahid, a film where the main character tries to remove the name “Shahid” – meaning “martyr” – from her surname, in honor of her great-grandparents. However, she is haunted by the figure of her great-grandfather, faces the impossibility of German bureaucracy, and deals with a growing revolt among the actors. A unique political comedy filled with humor and critique.
