POPULAR é um espetáculo que parte da autoficção: e se a criadora e intérprete quisesse ser uma artista popular? Entre o desejo e a crítica, a peça desafia os limites entre cultura de massas e cultura de elite, refletindo sobre o público, o coletivo e as tensões sociais reveladas por essa fricção.
Através da biografia e da pesquisa, a criação interroga conceitos da mesma família lexical da palavra “popular”: popularidade, pop, populismo. No fim, fica a pergunta — terá sido, ou não, popular?

POPULAR is a performance rooted in autofiction: what if the creator and performer wanted to be a popular artist? Blurring the lines between mass culture and high culture, the show reflects on the audience as a collective and the social divisions revealed through that tension.
Combining personal narrative with research, the piece questions related concepts like popularity, pop, and populism. In the end, it always wonders — was it ever really popular?
