“Responder à performance: perguntas, reflexões e escrita crítica”

Este evento propõe uma conversa participativa focada nas respostas criativas e críticas à performance, além de explorar abordagens experimentais às artes performativas. Através de um diálogo aberto com profissionais locais, incluindo a escritora Cláudia Galhós e a plataforma Performing the Archive, o encontro busca expandir as possibilidades criativas da escrita em relação à performance. O objetivo é ir além das críticas tradicionais, criando formas mais imaginativas e não-conformistas de envolvimento crítico com as artes performativas. Facilitado pela performingborders, o evento visa gerar novas ideias sobre como responder criativamente às artes performativas, com uma ênfase no contexto local do Porto, ao mesmo tempo em que conecta perspectivas transfronteiriças mais amplas. A expectativa é que os participantes saiam com uma sensação de curiosidade renovada e novas formas de se envolver com o programa do DDD.

“Responding to Performance: Questions, Reflections, and Critical Writing”

This participatory event centers around creative and critical responses to performance and experimental approaches to the performing arts. It proposes an open dialogue with local professionals, including writer Cláudia Galhós and the platform Performing the Archive. The discussion will explore the creative possibilities of writing in relation to performance, moving beyond traditional critiques to more imaginative and non-conformist forms of critical engagement with the performing arts. Facilitated by performingborders, the event aims to generate new ideas on how to respond creatively to the performing arts, focusing on the local context of Porto while connecting to broader transnational perspectives. The expectation is that participants will leave with a renewed sense of curiosity and new ways to engage with the DDD program.
