Junte-se a nós no dia 22 de março de 2025, das 14h30 às 16h30, para uma visita guiada ao Palácio de Cristal com Joel Cleto. Esta visita irá explorar a história fascinante do Palácio e os seus jardins, um espaço de grande relevância social e cultural desde a sua inauguração em 1865.

Durante o percurso, vamos recordar as origens do Palácio e o papel pioneiro dos seus jardins na história da aeronáutica em Portugal, com destaque para a ascensão dos balões de ar quente e a participação de aviadores estrangeiros e portugueses. A visita promete trazer histórias de heroísmo, tragédia e romance, e surpreendentemente, os participantes terão a oportunidade de “subir aos céus do Palácio”.

ROMANTIC PATHS — THE CRYSTAL PALACE AND THE ORIGINS OF AVIATION IN PORTUGAL

Join us on March 22, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, for a guided tour of the Crystal Palace with Joel Cleto. This visit will explore the fascinating history of the Palace and its gardens, a space of great social and cultural significance since its inauguration in 1865.

During the tour, we will revisit the origins of the Palace and its pioneering role in aviation in Portugal, with emphasis on the rise of hot air balloons and the involvement of both foreign and Portuguese aviators. The visit promises to reveal stories of heroism, tragedy, and romance, and surprisingly, participants will have the opportunity to “soar to the skies of the Palace.”
