Uma noite dedicada à editora portuense Jazzego, fundada por André Carvalho e Hugo Oliveira com o propósito de divulgar uma visão abrangente e inclusiva do jazz, onde os samples e o beatmaking são membros da família, defendidos dos estigmas – que a dupla encara como “elitistas” – dos cultores da cena jazzística clássica. Bardino, um dos projectos aqui apresentados em nome da Jazzego, é um trio composto por Nuno Fulgêncio (bateria), Diogo Silva (baixo) e Rui Martins (sintetizadores, piano elétrico e guitarra elétrica), cuja sonoridade concilia o requinte do jazz e a firmeza do rock, com toques de dub e funk, tudo embalado por uma eletrónica sofisticada. A terminar, os próprios André Carvalho e Hugo Oliveira, autores da compilação Granito, assumem os pratos e pulverizam o ambiente do Café com o apelo irresistível da dança.
An evening dedicated to the Porto label Jazzego, founded by André Carvalho and Hugo Oliveira with the purpose of disseminating a comprehensive and inclusive vision of jazz, where samples and beatmaking are members of the family, defended from the stigmas – which the duo sees as “elitist” – of the cultists of the classic jazz scene. Bardino, one of the projects presented here in the name of Jazzego, is a trio composed of Nuno Fulgêncio (drums), Diogo Silva (bass) and Rui Martins (synthesisers, electric piano and electric guitar), whose sound combines the refinement of jazz and the firmness of rock, with touches of dub and funk, all packed with sophisticated electronics. Finally, André Carvalho and Hugo Oliveira, authors of the Granito compilation, take over the cymbals and pulverise the Café’s atmosphere with the irresistible appeal of dance.
