(A)sussurros é uma revisitação do texto de Martin Crimp, “Attempts on her Life” (1997), uma reflexão irónica e cínica sobre os finais do século XX. A peça, com um olhar britânico bem característico, explora as múltiplas facetas de Anne (ou Annie, Annuscka, e outros nomes), uma personagem que representa os estereótipos do seu tempo, e serve como pretexto para Crimp comentar as ironias de um Ocidente que confundiu ideologias, artes, estilos e mensagens.

Com uma linguagem cheia de ambiguidades, esta obra apresenta-se como uma reflexão sobre o que somos hoje, em 2025, no meio de equívocos e paixões vazias de significado. Através dos corpos e das vozes de 22 alunos do 3.º ano do Curso de Teatro, a peça explora, através do sussurro, a ambiguidade das palavras e dos movimentos, revelando as múltiplas “Annies” que são todos e ninguém.

Event Description:
(A)sussurros is a revisitation of Martin Crimp’s text, “Attempts on her Life” (1997), offering an ironic and cynical perspective on the end of the 20th century. With a distinct British tone, the play delves into the multiple aspects of Anne (or Annie, Annuscka, and other names), a character who embodies the stereotypes of her time, serving as a medium for Crimp to comment on the contradictions of a West that has confused ideologies, arts, styles, and messages.

With a language full of ambiguities, the work reflects on what we have become today, in 2025, amidst misconceptions and passions often devoid of meaning. Through the bodies and voices of 22 third-year students from the Theater Course, the play explores, through the whisper, the ambiguity of words and movements, unveiling the many “Annies” who are both everyone and no one.
