A doença de Alzheimer é hoje um dos principais desafios de saúde pública. Com base no mote “Antes Prevenir Que Temer”, esta conferência propõe uma abordagem clara e acessível sobre os avanços científicos e as estratégias possíveis para prevenir, diagnosticar precocemente e tratar esta condição.

👩‍⚕️ Sobre Katia Andrade:
Neurologista e investigadora em neurociências cognitivas, reside em Paris há quase 20 anos. É doutorada pela Sorbonne Université e desenvolve investigação no Institut du Cerveau, em Paris. Recentemente publicou na Communications Biology um artigo sobre a progressão clínica da doença de Alzheimer.

Além do seu trabalho científico, Katia cultiva também a poesia, fotografia e artes plásticas, tendo realizado exposições e recitais.

Alzheimer’s disease is one of today’s major public health issues. Centered on the theme “Better Safe Than Sorry”, this talk will explore how prevention, early diagnosis, and new treatments may shift the course of this neurodegenerative disease.

👩‍⚕️ About Katia Andrade:
A neurologist and cognitive neuroscience researcher, Katia lives in Paris and holds a PhD from the Sorbonne Université. She works at the Institut du Cerveau and has recently published in Communications Biology on the clinical progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

In addition to her scientific work, she is also active in the arts, including poetry, photography, and exhibitions.
