No dia 27 de março de 2025, o Município de Valongo celebra o Dia Mundial do Teatro com a apresentação do espetáculo “NÃO”, a cargo da Companhia Nacional de Espetáculos. O evento terá lugar no Fórum Cultural de Ermesinde.
A entrada é gratuita, mas é necessário adquirir bilhetes através de valongo.bol.pt.

“NÃO” é uma peça original de Giacomo Scalis, inspirada no diálogo com o escritor Afonso Cruz sobre os seus livros “Paz Traz Paz” e “O Livro do Ano”, e de textos inéditos resultantes dessas conversas. A peça busca, especialmente, falar às crianças e jovens sobre a importância de pensar em liberdade e ser humano, como antídoto contra o ódio. A história revela o impacto de um ‘sim’ que deveria ter sido ‘não’, abordando o conceito de monstros, tanto reais quanto metafóricos, e como eles ganham forma com pequenas coisas e medos infundados.

On March 27, 2025, the Municipality of Valongo will celebrate World Theatre Day with the presentation of the show ‘NÃO’, performed by the Companhia Nacional de Espetáculos. The event will take place at the Fórum Cultural de Ermesinde.

‘NÃO’ is an original play by Giacomo Scalis, inspired by the dialogue with writer Afonso Cruz about his books “Paz Traz Paz” and “O Livro do Ano”, as well as some unpublished texts that resulted from those conversations. The play aims to speak, especially to children and young people, about the importance of thinking about freedom and being human as an antidote to hatred. The story reveals the impact of a ‘yes’ that should have been ‘no’, exploring the concept of monsters, both real and metaphorical, and how they take shape with small things and unfounded fears.
