A inauguração da vídeo-instalação “The Burg of Babel”, do artista e curador Mohammad Salemy, convida o público a mergulhar numa reflexão sobre as interseções entre arte, tecnologia e pensamento contemporâneo. Inspirada nas célebres pinturas da Torre de Babel de Pieter Bruegel, cujas versões originais se encontram em Viena e Roterdão, a obra propõe um contrabando hipersticional — um jogo conceptual entre ficção, tempo e computação.
Nesta instalação, Salemy reinventa o esboço original perdido das Torres de Babel, transformando-o em matéria especulativa para questionar as noções de inteligência coletiva e a forma como o tempo computacional reconfigura o modo de pensar e criar. O resultado é uma obra que mistura crítica estética, imaginação tecnológica e arqueologia digital.

“The Burg of Babel”, by Mohammad Salemy — a video installation on time, technology and collective intelligence
The video installation “The Burg of Babel” by artist and curator Mohammad Salemy explores the intersections between art, technology, and contemporary thought. Inspired by Pieter Bruegel’s two Tower of Babel paintings, usually housed in Vienna and Rotterdam, the piece speculatively reconstructs the lost original sketch, transforming it into a lens through which to reflect on collective general intelligence and its relationship to an expanded yet flattened concept of computational time.
