Ophelia merece morrer?

DE QUE TRATA A OBRA: Yorick é uma das personagens de Hamlet, de Shakespeare, mais exatamente o bufão do rei, que na obra aparece já morto, na forma da icónica caveira que Hamlet segura na sua mão. Esta personagem evoca a liberdade. O bufão diz sempre a verdade, e está-lhe concedido dizer o que ninguém mais se atreve a dizer e com o riso e a ironia chega ao coração de quem o quiser ouvir com atenção.

Este trabalho é uma adaptação livre a partir dessa personagem.

SINOPSE: Nesta proposta, Yorick-mulher insurge-se contra as velhas maneiras que não proporcionam qualquer vento fresco de mudança, ri-se da eterna espera em que caímos sem sair nunca do lugar e, em ambiente de festa, convida-nos a matar a Ophelia demasiado boa que levamos dentro para podermos ser, por fim, autênticas.Convida-nos desta feita a um ritual conjunto para dinamitar esses velhos caminhos e podermos solicitar o Amor com caráter de urgência.

CRIAÇÃO, ENCENAÇÃO E ENCARNAÇÃO: Andreia Moreira Criado por Andreia Moreira, atriz e clown nascida em Paredes, residente atualmente em Barcelona. Uma artesã das emoções, cujas criações radicam num trabalho físico, energético e um humor delirante e sutil, misturando o clown, a figura do bufão, a dança e o teatro experimental. É um trabalho com uma forte presença em que se aproveita tudo que passa durante o espetáculo. Um teatro vivo e dialogante que podemos encontrar também pelo nome de KAMALA TEATRO. O seu trabalho leva-nos a submergir-nos em temas como a felicidade, a existência humana, os papéis da mulher, a morte ou o abandono. Na qualidade de formadora e diretora soma um total de 16 trabalhos encenados até ao momento. Encontramo-la em encarnações como Zhu-Zhi (cuja apresentação teve lugar este verão no Compasso), Medeia ou Fufu.

Does Ophelia deserve to die?

WHAT IS THE WORK ABOUT: Yorick is one of the characters in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, more exactly the king’s buffoon, who in the play appears already dead, in the form of the iconic skull that Hamlet holds in his hand. This character evokes freedom. The buffoon always tells the truth, and is granted to say what no one else dares to say, and with laughter and irony he reaches the heart of anyone who will listen carefully.

This work is a free adaptation based on this character.

SYNOPSIS: In this proposal, Yorick-woman rebels against the old ways that do not provide any fresh wind of change, laughs at the eternal wait in which we fall without ever leaving the place and, in a party atmosphere, invites us to kill the too good Ophelia we carry inside to be able to be authentic at last.

CREATION, ENCOUNTER AND ENCARNATION: Andreia Moreira Created by Andreia Moreira, actress and clown born in Paredes, currently living in Barcelona. An artisan of emotions, whose creations are rooted in a physical, energetic work and a delirious and subtle humor, mixing the clown, the figure of the buffoon, dance and experimental theater. It is a work with a strong presence in which one takes advantage of everything that happens during the performance. A living and dialoguing theater that we can also find by the name of KAMALA TEATRO. Her work leads us to submerge ourselves in themes such as happiness, human existence, women’s roles, death, or abandonment. As a trainer and director, she has so far produced a total of 16 plays. We find her in incarnations such as Zhu-Zhi (whose presentation took place this summer at Compasso), Medea or Fufu.
