As pinturas, suspensas em estruturas tubulares, ocultam rostos de figuras enigmáticas, representando jogadores online e cripto-investidores. A arquitetura evoca a frieza das instituições financeiras, destacando a influência mútua entre o mercado digital emergente e o sistema financeiro tradicional.

The exhibition run_it_back.exeˇ by New York-based artist Avery Singer marks the start of the 2025 program at the Serralves Museum. Specially conceived for this context, the exhibition reflects on the dilemmas of the digital age and the structural tensions defining contemporary society, expanding from the museum’s central room to the entrance hall.

🎨 About the Exhibition:
Resulting from over a year of research, the exhibition guides us through the intricacies of emerging digital economies, such as the cryptocurrency market, exposing dynamics of volatility, alienation, and fragmentation. The paintings, suspended in tubular structures, conceal faces of enigmatic figures, representing online gamers and crypto-investors. The architecture evokes the coldness of financial institutions, highlighting the mutual influence between the emerging digital market and the traditional financial system.
