Porto Design Biennale 2023 – Semana Inaugural

A ter lugar entre os dias 19 de outubro e 3 de dezembro nas cidades de Porto e Matosinhos, a terceira edição da Porto Design Biennale terá como tema central Ser Água – Como fluímos e nos moldamos coletivamente, potenciando o encontro de vozes nacionais e internacionais num debate sobre um dos mais essenciais e indespensáveis elementos naturais: a Água.

Sob a curadoria de Fernando Brízio, o evento irá apresentar um conjunto de exposições, conferências, workshops e publicações que pretendem ser uma plataforma-laboratório para os espectros visível e invisível, orgânico, inorgânico e efémero da água. O objetivo é trabalhar continuamente para dar forma a futuros mais sustentáveis, equitativos, livres e felizes.

O evento é promovido em colaboração entre os municípios do Porto e Matosinhos, com organização da esad—idea.

Taking place between October 19 and December 3 in the cities of Porto and Matosinhos, the third edition of the Porto Design Biennale will have the central theme Being Water – How we flow together and shape each other, fostering the meeting of national and international voices in a debate on one of the most essential and indispensable natural elements: Water.

Curated by Fernando Brízio, the event will present a set of exhibitions, conferences, workshops and publications that aim to be a platform-laboratory for the visible and invisible, organic, inorganic and ephemeral spectrums of water. The aim is to work continuously to shape more sustainable, equitable, free and happy futures.

The event is promoted in collaboration between the municipalities of Porto and Matosinhos, with organisation by esad-idea.
