LEV 2025: Festival Literário de Matosinhos | 5 a 13 de abril
De 5 a 13 de abril de 2025, Matosinhos recebe a 19ª edição do LeV – Literatura em Viagem, um dos maiores festivais literários do país, com uma programação repleta de eventos gratuitos e abertos ao público. O festival reúne grandes nomes da literatura nacional e internacional, e o seu epicentro será na Biblioteca Municipal Florbela Espanca e na Galeria Municipal.
A programação inclui uma vasta gama de atividades, desde conversas literárias com autores como Carlos Tê, José Luís Peixoto, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Bruno Nogueira, até exposições como a dedicada aos 200 anos de Camilo Castelo Branco e a mostra “Matosinhos – Lugar e Memória”.
Durante o primeiro fim de semana, a conversa “Da Letra ao Tom: Quando a Literatura se Transforma em Canção”, que conta com Carlos Tê, Adolfo Luxúria Canibal e José Luís Peixoto, explora a fusão entre a literatura e a música. O debate será moderado por Miguel Pedro e acontecerá no sábado, 5 de abril, às 15h00, na Galeria Municipal.
Outras atividades incluem o “Secret Garden”, um encontro dedicado ao público young adult, e sessões de escrita criativa e contação de histórias para as crianças. Para além disso, haverá workshops e apresentações de livros ao longo da semana.

LEV 2025: Matosinhos Literary Festival | April 5-13
From April 5 to 13, 2025, Matosinhos hosts the 19th edition of LeV – Literatura em Viagem, one of the largest literary festivals in the country, with a program full of free events open to the public. The festival brings together great names in national and international literature, with the epicenter at the Florbela Espanca Municipal Library and Municipal Gallery.
The program includes a wide range of activities, from literary talks with authors such as Carlos Tê, José Luís Peixoto, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Bruno Nogueira, to exhibitions like the one dedicated to 200 years of Camilo Castelo Branco and the exhibition “Matosinhos – Place and Memory”.
During the first weekend, the talk “From the Word to the Tone: When Literature Becomes Song” featuring Carlos Tê, Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, and José Luís Peixoto, explores the fusion between literature and music. The debate will be moderated by Miguel Pedro and will take place on Saturday, April 5, at 3:00 PM at the Municipal Gallery.
Other activities include the “Secret Garden”, a meeting dedicated to the young adult audience, as well as creative writing workshops and storytelling sessions for children. In addition, there will be workshops and book presentations throughout the week.
