Aina Alegre interpreta livremente as danças e a energia da lendária bailarina de flamenco Carmen Amaya (1918–1963), uma artista de carreira variada, que transitou de Barcelona a Hollywood, da Exposição Universal à Casa Branca, e do flamenco ao Boléro de Ravel. A presença de Amaya, como um fantasma fugidio, permeia corpos, sons e luzes nesta nova obra de Aina Alegre. Revisitando e aproveitando essa herança, os bailarinos entram no baile com vigor, impulsionando-se pelo espaço eletrificado, evocando a energia desta figura através da sua própria dança deslumbrante!

Aina Alegre freely interprets the dances and energy of the legendary flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya (1918–1963), an artist with a varied career, from Barcelona to Hollywood, from the World Expo to the White House, and from flamenco to Ravel’s Bolero. Amaya’s presence, like a fleeting ghost, permeates the bodies, sounds, and lights of this new work by Aina Alegre. Revisiting and embracing this legacy, the dancers step into the dance with vigor, propelled through the electrified space, evoking the energy of this figure through their own dazzling dance!
