O Flaherty Seminar é um dos encontros mais importantes dedicados ao cinema de não ficção no mundo. Todos os anos, cineastas, artistas, estudantes, investigadores, curadores, críticos, arquivistas e cinéfilos reúnem-se para um programa imersivo com projeções de filmes e debates coletivos. A 70.ª edição acontece em Nova Iorque e é expandida para diversos locais ao redor do mundo.
Este ano, o Flaherty Pod Porto será realizado no Batalha Centro de Cinema nos dias 28 e 29 de junho e na ESAP nos dias 26 e 27 de junho. Em sintonia com o Flaherty Seminar, todas as sessões são surpresa até o início de cada encontro, seguidas de debates com convidados especiais. A curadoria é assinada por Janaína Oliveira, Carlos Guttiérez e Richard Herskowitz, com a organização local a cargo da cineasta Amarante Abramovici.

The Flaherty Seminar is one of the most important gatherings focused on documentary cinema in the world. Every year, filmmakers, artists, students, researchers, curators, critics, archivists, and film enthusiasts come together for an immersive program featuring film screenings and collective debates. The 70th edition takes place in New York and expands to various locations around the globe.
This year, the Flaherty Pod Porto will take place at the Batalha Centro de Cinema on June 28th and 29th and at ESAP on June 26th and 27th. In line with the Flaherty Seminar, all sessions are surprises until the start of each event and are followed by discussions with special guests. The curatorship is by Janaína Oliveira, Carlos Guttiérez, and Richard Herskowitz, with local organization by filmmaker Amarante Abramovici.
