️🎨 Why Join?
Maurizio Cattelan is perhaps best known in recent years for his viral artwork — a banana duct-taped to a wall, sold for a staggering $5.2 million. But long before that, he was shaking the art world with his provocative, unsettling, and darkly humorous installations: the Pope struck by a meteorite, a ghostly elephant under a sheet like a ghost, taxidermy animals reenacting domestic life, and his legendary prank of taping his own gallerist to a wall.
But beyond the headlines — who is Maurizio Cattelan?
How does he fit into the wider story of Italian art and culture? How can we look at his work beyond the first laugh? And what does Italian cinema have to do with it all?
Join us to explore these questions in a way that’s insightful, engaging, and accessible — whether you’re a passionate art lover or simply curious to experience something new.
Looking forward to seeing you delving into this mad art.. its going to be interesting, funny, thought provoking, and very very very Italian 🇮🇹.
Last Tip: for your Lunch- bring PIzza or Pasta… We will bring the wine and the cookies.
