No próximo 31 de março de 2025, às 18h30, o Pois Pois vai receber a Oficina de Arte Generativa com o artista e programador criativo Yin Liu. Este workshop, integrado na exposição Portos.Portas.Pontes, é uma oportunidade única para aprender a codificar criativamente usando a biblioteca de código aberto P5.js.

Durante a sessão, vais explorar a história da arte generativa e interativa, aprender os comandos fundamentais do P5.js e utilizá-los para desenhar formas básicas. No final, serás capaz de codificar o teu próprio emoji facial! Não é necessária experiência prévia em programação, e basta trazer o teu portátil – o resto do material será fornecido.

Yin Liu, um artista visual e programador criativo da China, mistura técnicas de desenho manual com codificação generativa, criando obras que exploram a interseção entre meios analógicos e digitais. Desde 2023 no Porto, ele também ensina Codificação Criativa, navegando entre a criatividade humana e o design algorítmico.

🎨 Drawing with Code, with Yin Liu | Generative Art Workshop
On March 31, 2025, at 6:30 PM, Pois Pois will host a Generative Art Workshop with the artist and creative programmer Yin Liu. This workshop, part of the Portos.Portas.Pontes exhibition, offers a unique opportunity to learn creative coding using the open-source JavaScript library P5.js.

During the session, you will explore the history of generative and interactive art, learn the fundamental commands of P5.js, and use them to draw basic shapes. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to code your own facial emoji! No prior programming experience is required – just bring your laptop, as all other materials will be provided.

Yin Liu, a visual artist and creative programmer from China, combines hand-drawing techniques with generative coding, creating works that explore the intersection of analog and digital media. He has been living in Porto since 2023 and also teaches Creative Coding, bridging human creativity with algorithmic design.
