Sound plays a crucial role in the underwater world, where many organisms, such as fish and invertebrates, rely on it for navigation, communication, and feeding. However, with the increase of human activities in the ocean, the natural soundscape has been overtaken by anthropogenic noise, leading to underwater noise pollution that negatively affects marine ecosystems.

This guided visit will explore how underwater noise disrupts marine life, interfering with vital functions and overriding their natural communication. Researcher Ana Bio will lead the session, discussing possible solutions to mitigate the effects of this invisible pollution.
